Frosted glass is used (sand-radiated or corroded) more and more frequently in the everyday life. Often it is only a part of the surface or a motive on it that is frosted
These surfaces have the disadvantage that they are very susceptible to contamination. In particular fingerprints are a problem. Fingerprints leave greasy marks which increase the transparency of the matte glass and so ugly marks develop – and they are hard to remove.
